Phelps takes early lead in duel with Lochte (Yahoo! Sports)

The Michael Phelps-Ryan Lochte duel has been put on hold until Saturday night. Phelps made the finals in two events Thursday at the Indianapolis Grand Prix, but Lochte was relegated to consolation heats in the 100 freestyle and 100 butterfly. Phelps qualified seventh in the 100 free, in 50.16 seconds, and third in the 100 fly at 53.20.
