Arkansas freshman Vin Ascolese writes an ode to his new team

Vin Ascolese, an Arkansas freshman linebacker, might only have earned a two-star rating out high school, but he brings something else to the Razorback locker room ? heart.

On Twitter on Tuesday, Ascolese shared that heart with the rest of the world by posting a picture of a "sonnet" he wrote about what it means to be a Razorback.

OK, so it's not quite a Shakespearean sonnet, nor does it actually follow the rules of a traditional 14-line sonnet. It also doesn't rhyme, have iambic pentameter and it's not exactly punctuated correctly, but it's the thought that counts.

Ascolese is from North Bergen, N.J., so it's not like he grew up immersed in the Arkansas culture. He's expressing his devotion to a university that decided to take a chance on him. Honestly, how can a coach turn away a young man who writes a poem about the school (and has the guts to post it online)?

Who knows what role Ascolese will play during his career with the Razorbacks, but if he keeps showing his devotion like this, he'll probably turn into a fan favorite and probably a hit with the ladies.
