When Vince Young was talking about the "Dream Team" last year, and Michael Vick recently sort of guaranteed a Super Bowl appearance for the Philadelphia Eagles, it's possible that the quarterbacks knew about the roster additions of a few new birds. Now that it's been announced, we may have to re-assess the Eagles' chances to and through the postseason.
As the team announced on Wednesday, there's a new agreement between the Eagles and Rovio, the entertainment company in charge of the wildly popular "Angry Birds" franchise.
"This is a very exciting day in the entire Philadelphia Eagles organization," the cartoon version of head coach Andy Reid said to announce the new birds. "We're announcing the signing of five very special undrafted free agents. Despite being a bit undersized, these are all high-motor, hard-nosed players who have been three-star players at every level."
Now, there are a few ringers here. For one, Reid looks positively ripped, which is a severe departure from his usual "Yeah, I'll have that fourth cheeseburger" profile. And Reid reveals far more in this presser than the actual coach has ever done in any press conference.
That said, the Eagles are excited, and so are we. From the press release:

We're not sure what positions these new birds will play, but Big Brother Red Bird Terence looks like he could replace injured left tackle Jason Peters pretty well. Even DeMarcus Ware might pause before messing with that particular bird. As for the Philadelphia Eagle? Sounds like a conditioning issue. That dude had better get his stuff together.
